(Low Temperature)
CONSTITUTING PCBT heating cables are parallel resistance type (to be cut to length on the job site). The power output remains constant regardless of heat transfer or surrounding temperature. They include two bus wires individually insulated. On those bus wires, the heating wire, made of resistive
alloy is spiralled. It is energized alternately on each of the bus wires,
every one meter about, so creating independent heating zones.. WORKING PRINCIPLE
PCBT/PVC constant watt heating cables are usually designed for the following applications : - Freeze protection of water pipes, fuel - Freeze or snow protection for gutters and roofs - Snow elimination on access ramps and staircases - Low temperature maintenance for pipes and tanks MAINS ADVANTAGES
This technology involves the following advantages : - No thermal ageing of the heating element - No inrush current under start up conditions - Built in cold leads - Cut to length on the job site - Derivations and tee connections can be made from one single power supply (energy available on the whole length of the cable) - Very good flexibility - Standard voltages :230 or 400 volts (other voltages
upon request) MAIN CHARACTERISTICS Circuit maximum length : 110 to 120 meters or 1500 W
