CU-FE and CU-FA series heating cables

CONSTITUTING
CU-FE and CU-FA series resistance heating cables include
a single heating core made of resistive alloy.
Insulation is made with Very High Temperature silicone
rubber or FEP or PFA fluorinated resin, depending on applications and
specifications.
A metallic braid (tinned copper or stainless steel) can
be proposed assuming a better mechanical protection and allowing to
perfectly earth the installation.
An overjacket is proposed when corrosives risks
are present
WORKING PRINCIPLE
CU-FE and CU-FA heating cables can be energized from :
SINGLE SUPPLY
THREE PHASED SUPPLY

APPLICATIONS
Series resistance heating cables are usually designed
for the following applications :
· Temperature maintenance in long pipes from one
single supply point
· Where the dissipated power has to be balanced
(on 3 phased supply)
· Temperature maintenance in glass houses
· Vine heating
MAIN ADVANTAGES
This technology involves the following advantages :
· No thermal ageing of the heating element
· Large range of ohmic values
· Supply voltage : 12 to 400 volts
· Balanced power on 3 phased system
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
Circuit length : 1 to 1000 meters
Maximum exposure temperature when energized : depending
on watt loading and insulation designed
Maximum exposure temperature (de energized)
· 85°C for PRC insulation
· 105°C for very high temperature PVC insulation
· 125°C for TPR insulation
· 200°C for FEP or silicone insulation
· 260°C for very high temperature silicone
rubber insulation
Electrical protection (fuses) : nominal power *
1.25 to 1.40
Differential protection : 30 mA
