HEATING CORDS – CC-SIL

CONSTITUTING
CC-SIL heating cords include one or two heating elements
made of resistive alloy and embedded in a very hight temperature silicone
rubber (rating–260°).
Cold leads junctions (non heating) are moulded.
A metallic braid (tinned copper or stainless steel) can
be proposed assuming a better mechanical protection and allowing to
perfectly earth the installation.
An overjacket is proposed when corrosives risks
are present.
PATTERNS
SINGLE CORD - TYPE I
SINGLE CORD - TYPE II
DUAL CORD - TYPE I (FLAT)
DUAL CORD - TYPE II (CONCENTRIC)
APPLICATIONS
CC-SIL cords are usually designed for the following applications
:
· Freeze protection of draining hoses in cold stores
· Ice protection of door joints
· Mist and condensation protection for window
panes
MAIN ADVANTAGES
This technology involves the following advantages :
· Maximum exposure temperature : –60°C
à +260°C
· Ready to installed (no junction on the job site)
· Very high flexibility (silicone rubber)
· No inrush current under start up conditions
· Standard voltages 12 to 400 volts
